
Thief River Falls &endash; Otto Rehm, 54, of Thief River Falls died Monday, May 19, l997 at Dakota-Heartland Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 23 at 10 a.m. at Silver Creek Lutheran Church with Reverend Nancy Werner officiating.
Diane Johnson was the organist, and Van Swanson was the soloist. Casketbearers were Rodney Hoffman, Waldo Thompson, Gene Knutson, Warren Seaverson, Mark Lindholm and Gerald Johnson. Friends and relatives in attendance were honorary casketbearers. Green Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Otto Joe Rehm was born October 25, l942 in Thief River Falls the son of Joe and Marie (Hoffman) Rehm. He was baptized and confirmed at Clearwater Lutheran Church and attended school in Kratka Township, Pennington County. Otto graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961. From 1960 to 1964, he served in the National Guard.
On December 6, 1968, he was united in marrriage to Arlene Olson at Watertown, SD. The couple moved to Thief River Falls where they farmed. After a few years, he worked in construction and as a texturer for Sherman Johnson. For the past 23 years, Otto worked for Hartz Wholesale, presently as night loading foreman. He had also been working part-time for the Crystal Sugar Company in Crookston.
Otto is survived by his wife, Arlene of Thief River Falls; son Jeff Olson and his wife, Paula; two grandchildren; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Scott Olson.
