Grand Rapids - David L. "Hoss" Ranum, 43, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998 at Itasca Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 20 at the Libbey Funeral Home in Grand Rapids. Burial was in Wildwood Cemetery in Cohasset.
David L. Ranum was born on November 28, 1954 in Thief River Falls. David was very active and was past vice president of the Grand Rapids Speedway. He was an avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by his wife, Kara of Grand Rapids; two sons, Billy VanKeuren and Paul VanKeuren, both of Grand Rapids; one daughter, Lesa VanKueren of Grand Rapids; two grandchildren; father and stepmother, Oscar "Bud" and Delores Ranum of North Branch; one brother, Daryl of Minneapolis; and two sisters, Julie Steinert of Duluth and Paula Buxton of Portland, OR.
