
Thief River Falls - Minnie Randorf, 92, died Tuesday, December 29, 1998 at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 1999 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls with Reverend John Wollenzein officiating. Ida Nordvall was the organist, and vocal music was provided by Diane Johnson. Peggy Prudhomme presented a violin solo. Casketbearers were Jeff Randorf, Doug Wangsmo, Debbie Randorf, Rozalind Pitzel, Connie Ellwein and Geri Lynn Prudhomme. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls. The Green Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Minnie Ristau was born on May 20,1906 in Grand Plain township of Marshall county, the daughter of John and Henrietta (Kutzborski) Ristau. She attended school in Adgar township, District 18. For a while Minnie was employed in Grand Forks, ND.
On October 20, 1927 she was united in marriage to Roy Randorf. The couple resided on a farm in Rocksbury township until they moved into Thief River Falls in September of 1952.
Minnie was a homemaker, and for 15 years she was a house mother to students from the technical school and college. She was past president of the Happy Seniors and a member of the Happy Homemakers club.
Minnie is survived by one daughter, Birdell (Paul) Wangsmo of Tacoma, WA; two sons, Dale (Ann) Randorf of Placitas, NM, and Gary (Betty) Randorf of Remer; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, John E. (Hazel) Ristau of Thornton, CO; one daughter-in-law, Audrey Randorf of Crookston; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; one son, Robert; her parents; and three brothers, Fred, Ernest and Frank.
