Barbara Rahn, 49

Thief River Falls - Barbara Rahn, 49, died Sunday, December 17, 2000 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Memorial services will be held at Barb Rahn obit 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls with Father Bob LaPlante and Father Dennis Wieland as con-celebrants. Carol Amundson will be the organist, and song leaders will be Marie Nowacki and Judy Dupree. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake Falls.

Visitation will be held today (Wednesday, December 20) from 6 to 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls.

Barbara Anne Bendel was born on August 4, 1951 at St. Francis Hospital in Crookston, the daughter of Balsey and Anna (LaRoche) Bendel. She grew up in Red Lake Falls where she attended St. Joseph's School and LaFayette High School.

On September 6, 1969, she was united in marriage to Larry Rahn at St. Joseph's Church in Red Lake Falls. The couple made their home in Thief River Falls where Barb worked for Northwest Medical Center and Valley Home as a dietary supervisor for many years.

She enjoyed raising flowers and animals, especially horses and kittens.

Barb is survived by her husband, Larry; a daughter, Lisa (Glade) Platts of Bellevue, Idaho; a son, Wayne of Thief River Falls; a granddaughter; her mother, Anne Bendel of Red Lake Falls; a brother, Jerry Bendel of Fairfield, Idaho; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents. A00003B2000DC20
