
Warroad - Magnhild Pryor, 93, died Sunday, June 21, 1998 at the Warroad Care Center.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 26 at 10 a.m. at the Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Warroad. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery in Warroad.
Magnhild Karolyn Steen, the daughter of Martha (Schroder) and Karl Steen, was born on August 30, 1904 in Stavanger, Norway. She came to the United States with her family at the age of two. She lived in St. Hilaire, Thief River Falls and finally, Warroad.
On November 27, 1924 Magnhild was united in marriage to John Pryor at Warroad. She raised their seven children while John worked on the railroad and owned South Side Dairy Farm.
A member of Zion Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, Magnhild enjoyed reading and her role as a mother and grandmother.
She is survived by three sons, John R. (Ruth) Pryor of Jefferson, OR, Charles Pryor of Warroad and Gordon (Judy) Pryor of St. Paul; four daughters, Beverly (Jim) Corliss of Corvaliss, OR, Marlene (John) Anderson of Cohasset, Martha Marshall of North Pole, AK and Dorothy Pryor of Warroad; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Magnhild was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1976; her parents; one son, Robert; seven brothers; and one sister.
