Osnabrock, N.D. - Katherine A. Praska, 90, formerly of Thief River Falls, died Sunday, November 19, 2000 at the Good Samaritan Center in Osnabrock, N.D.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21 at Tollefson Funeral Home in Edinburg, N.D. Interment was in Holt Cemetery in Holt.
Katherine A. Houser was born on April 20, 1910 in Pisek, N.D., the daughter of Frank and Stella (Svoboda) Houser. She grew up and attended school in Pisek.
On November 12, 1935, she married A. George Praska at Pisek. The couple resided in Park River, N.D. until 1950 when they moved to Holt to farm. They sold the farm in 1967. After her husband's death, Katherine worked as a live-in day care provider in the Thief River Falls area until her retirement in the late 1970's. She then resided at Skylight Apartments until moving to the Good Samaritan Center in Osnabrock in 1995.
Katherine is survived by a granddaughter, Debra (Ken) Niemela of Thief River Falls; two great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Robert Hunter of Milton, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, six sisters; a son, David; and a daughter, Kathleen Hunter.
