
Richfield - Mavis S. Pickler, 57, died Monday, September 13, 1999 at her home in Richfield.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 17 at the O'Halloran and Murphy Chapel in St. Paul. Casket-bearers were Jack Pickler, John Marchal, Robert Gul-branson, Robert Anenson, Larry Anenson, and Vern Anenson. Burial was in the Interment Resurrection Cemetery in St. Paul.
Mavis Sharon Anenson was born on August 25, 1942 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Henry and Christina (Lerol) Anenson. She was raised on a farm in Kratka township and attended schools in Thief River Falls. She graduated from cosmetology training in 1960.
Mavis moved to the Twin Cities and married Robert Mathiason in April of 1965. He later died in a car accident. On May 1, 1976, she married Edwin Pickler in Richfield. She worked as a hairdresser, owning her own shop, and also worked for Kentucky Fried Chicken and Boston Market.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Christina Anenson of Tucson, AZ; six sisters, Orlene (John) Marchal of Milton, FL, Barbara Manson of Tucson, AZ, Brenda (Robert) Gulbranson of Apple Valley, Burnell (Robert) Nynas of Hibbing; Arlis (Ronny) Proulx of East Grand Forks and Christy (Freddy) Mendoza of Tucson, AZ; and three brothers, Robert (Jane) Anenson of Mounds View and Larry (Sandy) Anenson and Vernon (Patricia) Anenson, both of Thief River Falls.
Mavis was preceded in death by her father and first husband.
