J. Peterson, 70Galva, IL - Raymond J. Peterson, 70, died Monday, June 9, l997 at the Marigold Health Care Center in Galesburg, IL.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 13 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with Rev. Phillip Laurin officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, rural Kewanee, IL.
Raymond was born March 13, l927 in Holt, the son of Norman and Anne Peterson. On September 6, 1959, he was united in marriage to Susie Anderson at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. Raymond was a construction worker for Newman Excavating of Kewanee, IL. He served in the Korean war and was a member of Hagberg-Hamlin American Legion and the Izaak Walton League.
Raymond is survived by his wife; one step-daughter, Virginia Stambaugh of Galva; one step-son, Keith Anderson of Shelton, WA; one brother, Howard (Donna) Peterson of Newfolden; one niece and two nephews.
