
Warren - Marjorie Peterson passed away on April 23, 1997 at North Valley Health Center in Warren at the age of 86.
Marjorie Gwladys Attree was born on November 6, 1910 at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Frederick and Katherine (Leighton) Attree. During World War I, she lived in London, England, before moving back to Winnipeg where she attended and graduated from high school and the St. Boniface School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse at Vancouver, British Columbia and Winnipeg before moving to Warren, in the 1930s. On July 13, 1940, she married Clarence "Kelly" Peterson in Crookston. They made their home in Warren. She worked as a nursing supervisor at the Emmaus Home and was Director of Nursing at the Warren Hospital until she retired in 1979.
She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church and the Covenant Women.
Marjorie loved to spend time taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and knitting.
She is survived by her husband Clarence and five children: Brian (Jane) of Monticello, IL, Ross (Sandie) of Ballwin, MO, Bruce (Linda) of Minneapolis, Alan (Winnie) of Raleigh, NC, and Kathy (Mark) Swanson of Warren; and eleven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dorothy Wilkins.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Warren.
