Jordan - Dennis G. Peters, 51, died Friday, June 18, 1999 at his home in Jordan.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 21 at Ballard Sunder Funeral Home in Jordan with Reverend Robert Bushaw officiating. Casketbearers were Peter Paul, Ken Eischens, Eugene Martin, Steven Fine, Jon Peters, Jeffrey Peters, Gary Steckman and Gene Steckman. Honorary casketbearers were Sheri Fine, Justin Fine, Kimberly Narkie, Grant Narkie Kym Peters, Kristen Taddei and Phillip Taddei. Military honors were provided by the Jordan Veterans Honor Guard. Interment was in Spirit Hill Cemetery in Jordan.
Dennis G. Peters was born on November 9, 1947 at Shakopee, the son of Alfred and Alice (Carlson) Peters. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam era. He worked as a heating and air conditioning sheet metal fabricator.
Dennis was a avid sports player and fan. He played basketball, American Legion baseball, Jordan Brewers baseball, softball, golf and other sports.
Survivors include two brothers, Glen (friend Yvonne Pederson) Peters of Thief River Falls and Sherwood (Virginia) Peters of Jordan; three sisters, Sandra Fine (Gordon Eikenbusch) of Savage, Janice (Roger) Narkie of Chaska and Deborah (James) Taddei of Alexandria; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; one nephew, Jason Peters; one brother-in-law, Howard Fine; and one sister-in-law, Del Peters. A00003B1999JN23
