Loretta Pelowski, 61

Greenbush - Loretta Pelowski, 61, died Sunday, March 14, 1999 at her home in Greenbush.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 18 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Greenbush with Father Don Braukmann officiating. Special music was provided by Jeanne Novacek. Alice Blawat and Jerome and Elinor Koshenina were the Eucharistic ministers. Bobby Blawat was the proclaimer, giftbearers were Brenton and Stephanie Stein.

Honorary casketbearers were Loretta's brothers, Rudy, Rafine and Floyd; and sister, Delores. Casketbearers were Brian Blawat, Scott Melby, Eden Berg, Harvey Dallager, Dwight Hasson, Rodney Anderson, Sylvester Duray and John Stanislawski. Interment was in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery in Greenbush. The Collins Funeral Home of Greenbush was in charge of the arrangements.

Loretta Ann Blawat was born on November 3, 1937 at Greenbush, the daughter of Floyd and Mary (Marynik) Blawat. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and grew up in the Greenbush area, graduating from Greenbush High School in 1957.

On June 20, 1959 Loretta was united in marriage to Philip Pelowski at St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Leo, near Greenbush. The couple lived in St. Paul for three years and then moved to a farm near Greenbush in Polonia township of Roseau county. In 1969 they moved into Greenbush where they have since made their home.

Loretta was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Greenbush. She was employed at the Greenbush School, Greenbush Community Hospital and for 13 years at Marvin Windows of Warroad. For the past 10 years, she had been providing day care in her home. Loretta enjoyed gardening, working with flowers, and spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Philip; one son, Dennis of Greenbush; one daughter, Janice (Steven) Stein of Dexter, IA; two grandchildren; three brothers, Rafine (Lorraine), Floyd Jr. (Alice), and Rudy (Alice), all of Greenbush; one sister, Delores (Merle) Anderson of North St. Paul; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
