Isabel Patten, 78

Thief River Falls - Isabel Patten, 78, died Friday, July 4, 1997 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Graveside services will be held today, Wednesday, July 9 at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls with Reverend Gary Johnson officiating. Diane Johnson will provide special music. The Green Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Isabel Anderson was born on July 6, 1918 in Thief River Falls the daughter of Axel and Alma (Bloom) Anderson. She was raised and attended rural school in Thief River Falls. For many years, she worked as a housekeeper.

She was united in marriage to Russell Patten on March 5, 1949 in Thief River Falls where the couple made their home. Isabel was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, yardwork, listening to baseball games and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by one son, David St. John of Kingman, KS; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mae (Lloyd) Peterson of Ancourage, AK ; special friend, Sherry Sorenson of Thief River Falls; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Isabel was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur St. John and Russell Patten; one sister, Lucille Canan and one brother, LaRue Anderson.
