Euclid - Willis Owens, 73, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998 at North Valley Health Center in Warren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 26 at the Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home in Warren. Interment was in Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston.
Willis Dale Owens was born on December 31, 1924 in Brandt township of Polk county near Euclid, the son of William and Ida (Diggins) Owens. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and attended Brandt Country School. He was a life-long resident of the Euclid area, and he and his brother, Wilbur, farmed together for many years. Willis retired in 1980.
He was a past member of Ducks Unlimited.
Willis liked to take care of small farm animals and enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include two brothers, Wilbur (Florence) and LaVerne (Marlene), both of Euclid; one sister, Harriet Janeske of Cheyenne, WY; and many nieces and nephews.
Willis was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Esther, Ellen and Alice; and two brothers, Lawrence and Lloyd.
