Barbara Otto, 71

ÝÝÝWarren - Barbara Otto, 71, of Warren, died on Thursday, September 2, at the SCCI Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

Funeral services were held on Monday, September 6, 2004 at Our Saviorís Lutheran Church in Warren. Interment was held at Melo Lutheran Cemetery, rural Warren.

Barbara Kezar was born on January 3, 1933 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Asa and Mabel Kezar. She spent her early years in Middle River, where she attended school. Barbara attended Cosmetology School in Minneapolis, graduating in 1952.

ÝÝÝOn October 17, 1953, she was united in marriage to Junius ?Mike? Otto. They moved to Warren shortly after they were married. Barbara owned and operated a beauty shop in Warren for over forty-five years.

ÝÝÝShe was a member of Our Saviorís Lutheran Church where she belonged to the OSL Bell Choir and she did volunteer work for Marshall County Social Services. Barbara was the State of Minnesota Outstanding Woman of the Year in 1967.

ÝÝÝSurvivors include her husband, Junius ?Mike?; two children, Julie (Richard) Johnson of Arvada, Colo. and William (Angie) Otto of Fort Collins, Colo.; four grandchildren; brother, James Kezar of Thief River Falls, and sister, Karen Veralrud of Ottertail.

ÝÝÝShe was preceded in death by her son, Jon; her parents; and her brother, David Kezar.
