East Grand Forks - Phillip Ostlund, 64, died Saturday, January 10, 1998 at his home in East Grand Forks.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 16 at the Stennes Funeral Home in East Grand Forks. Visitation will be held one hour before funeral services at the chapel. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in East Grand Forks.
Phillip Ostlund was born on August 8, 1933 at Goodridge, the son of John and Anna (Meyers) Ostlund. He grew up and attended school in the Goodridge-Grygla area.
He married Beverly Tiegland in Grygla in 1950. He was a heavy equipment operator for many area companies and worked for many area farmers until his retirement in 1993.
Phillip is survived by five daughters, Sherilyn (David) Sinkevick, Geraldine Halverson, Kathy Moncada, and Vickie (Dale) Zahradka, all of East Grand Forks, and Debra Ostlund of Thief River Falls; two sons, James Ostlund and Phillip (Ann) Ostlund II, both of East Grand Forks; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers, Kenneth Ostlund of Lake Bronson, Earl Ostlund of Fergus Falls, Donald Ostlund of East Grand Forks and Larry Ostlund of Fosston; two sisters, Lorraine Cullerton of Atlantic City, NJ and Bernice Valleen of St. Croix Falls, WI; and special friends, Mary Bohn and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ione; and three brothers, Rodney Ostlund, Joseph Ostlund and Wilfred Ostlund.
