Leslie Ostlund, 28

Redlake - Leslie Ostlund, 28, died Sunday, June 7, 1998 as the result of a car accident in Redlake.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, June 10) at 2 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Grygla with Reverend Roberta Johnson officiating. Grace Hammer will provide special music. Casketbearers will be Kevin Barrett, Mark Barrett, Alfred Berg, Delwyn English, Brian Holthusen, Dereck Lussier, Bobby Wold, Rodney Wold and Roger Wold. Burial will be in Rosebud Cemetery in Beltrami county.

Visitation was held at the Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls on Tuesday, June 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a 5 p.m. prayer service.

Leslie Wayne Ostlund was born on September 26, 1969 in Redlake, the son of Vernon and Marcella (Holthusen) Ostlund. He was baptized in the Christian faith at Wannaska. He attended school in Goodridge. Leslie worked at a number of jobs which included logging and farming. He spent the last couple of seasons working as a farm laborer in Eden Valley and was presently working for the Red Lake Department of Natural Resources.

He enjoyed his many friends, and his hobbies included trapping, skiing, hunting and working on cars.

Leslie is survived by his parents; four sisters, Arnetta (Dale) Zeidlik of Warroad, Sharon (Milton) Wickstrom of Alexandria, Dianne (Thomas) Frederickson of Warroad and Lee Ann Ringling of Badger; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; one sister, Charlene Bailey; and one brother, Delwyn Torgerson.
