
Middle River - Leora S. Osse, 88, died Saturday, April 17, 1999.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, April 21) at 2 p.m at Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Thief Lake near Middle River with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Pat Hanson will be the organist, and Diane Klemetson, Daniel Beito, DelRay Beito and Audrey Burda will be the vocalists. Jordan Osse and Boe Beito will be the ushers and acolytes. Kyle Matthews will present a violin solo. Interment will be in First Lutheran Cemetery in Middle River. The Collins Funeral Home of Middle River is in charge of the arrangements.
Leora Suzanne Taylor was born on November 30, 1910 at Driscoll, ND, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Swank) Taylor. The family moved to Middle River where Leora grew up and graduated from Middle River High School.
On November 5, 1930 Leora was united in marriage to John Osse. Leora lived near Middle River until 1957 when she moved to Grafton, ND where she was employed as a dietician at the Grafton State School. She retired in 1976 and moved back to Middle River where she lived until 1993 when she moved to Thief River Falls.
Leora is survived by two daughters, Joyce (Elwood) Beito of Middle River and Arlene Brazier of Warroad; one son, Donald (Robbie) of Deer River; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; three stepsons, Harry (Flora) Osse of Fresno, CA, Earl (Yetta) Osse of Ryegate, MT and John (Peggy) of Fayetteville, GA; two stepdaughters, Charlene Michalski of Huntley, MT and Vina Ritchie of Superior, WI; three sisters, Charolette Osse of Lavina, MT, Harriett Peterson of Valley City, ND and Donella Larson of Thief River Falls; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six half-brothers; two half-sisters; and a grandson.
