Lucille Nyland, 87

Argyle - Lucille Nyland, 87, died Saturday, April 3, 1999 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.

Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be held in St. Rose Cemetery in Argyle. The Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home of Warren is in charge of the arrangements.

Lucille Marie Moreau was born on March 30, 1912 at Argyle, the daughter of O.H. and Josephine (Proulx) Moreau. She attended school at St. Rose Catholic School and Argyle High School. She worked as a telephone operator in Argyle.

On May 9, 1944 she was united in marriage to Gordon Nyland in Argyle by Reverend Rousseau. They made their home in Walkerton, Indiana where she worked at Kingsbury Ordinance. They moved to Plummer where she owned and operated Nyland's Cafe. Gordon died in 1950. Lucille worked for Christian Brothers Service as a housekeeper for Catholic priests. She retired to Argyle.

Lucille is survived by two sisters, Margaret Brenner of Walkerton, IN and Betty Simms of Glen Carbon, IL; one brother, Richard Moreau of Walkerton, IN; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon; and three brothers, Louis, Alfred and Paul. A00003B1999AR07
