Ann Novak, 85

Thief River Falls - Ann Novak, 85, died Saturday, March 14, 1998 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls. Grace Hammer will provide the special music. Burial will follow the services at Gust National Cemetery near Strathcona.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 20 with a 7 p.m. prayer service and one hour prior to services on Saturday at Green Funeral Home.

Ann Kopecky was born on March 30, 1912 at Tabor, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Kopecky. She attended school in Tabor and later worked in East Grand Forks.

Ann was united in marriage to Frank Novak on August 30, 1942 in East Grand Forks. The couple farmed in Thief Lake township for many years. They retired in 1988 and moved to Thief River Falls. She moved to Valley Home in June of 1997 and to Oakland Park Nursing Home on February 12, 1998.

She was a member of Z.C.B.J. Lodge.

Ann is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Siepmann of Sidney, Australia and Lorraine Novak of Thief River Falls; two sisters, Dorothy Dunning of Libby, MT and Rose Blasky of Grand Forks, ND; one brother, Charles (Lydia) Kopecky of Euclid; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Robert; one sister, Ella Kugel; and two brothers, Joseph Kopecky and Ernest Kopecky.
