Glide, OR - Dorothy G. Nordhagen, 72, of Glide, OR died Sunday, May 25, l997 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Dorothy Geraldine Vanous was born September 24, 1924 in Strathcona, MN the daughter of Edward and Katherine (Keller) Vanous. She married Oren Nordhagen in Thief River Falls on June 20, l945. She had lived in the Glide, OR area since l964.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Oren of Glide, OR; four sons, Eugene of Idleyld Park, OR, Wayne (Carrie) and Calvin of Valencia, CA, and Leland (Cheryl) of Salem, OR; two daughters, Janice (Russell) Stone of Glide, OR and Kathryn Fugate of Valencia, CA; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Marcella Schyvincht of Greenbush, Kathleen Wefien of Williston, ND and Katherine Nelson of Butte, MT; one brother, Edward (Liz) Vanous of Pembina, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Joe, Rudy, Fred and Albert.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 28 at 2 p.m. at the Long and Shukle Memorial Chapel. Burial followed the services at the Wimberly Cemetery in Glide, OR.
