Thief River Falls - Patricia Norberg, 58, died Monday, October 23, 2000 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.
Funeral services
will be held at 
11 a.m. on Friday,
October 28, at First Baptist Church in Thief River Falls with Rev.
Ron Gullman officiating. Special music will be provided by Lisa and
Leslie Swanson. Casketbearers will be Harley Norberg, John Swanson,
Jason Strickland, Bob Balstad, Tim Balstad and Brad Ford.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m.prayer service at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Patricia Ann Kroening was born on February 22, 1942 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Alfred and Virgie (Hilliard) Kroening. She was baptized at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston and First Baptist Church in Thief River Falls. She grew up and attended school in Fosston, graduating from Fosston High School. She also graduated from nurse's training at Crookston and worked in a Crookston hospital.
On October 28, 1961, she was united in marriage to Daryl Norberg at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston. The couple moved to Minneapolis in 1962 where Pat began employment with Fairview and General hospitals. In 1972, Pat and Daryl moved to Thief River Falls where they took over operation of Crestview Boarding Home, operating it until the early 1990's. Pat also operated Future Shape Toning and Tanning until her heath deteriorated.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Pat enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, nature walks and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Daryl of Thief River Falls; two daughters, Lynne Norberg of Grand Forks, N.D. and Julie Olson of Thief River Falls; two grandchildren; her mother, Virgie Kroening of Fosston; a brother, Douglas (Joyce) Kroening of Andover; and two sisters, Diane Dombrowski of the Twin Cities and Juanita (Robert) Balstad of Fosston.
She was preceded in death by her father, a sister, Dolores Bakken; and a brother, Roger Kroening. A00003B2000OC25
