Harold D. Nolte, 62

St. Cloud - Harold D. Nolte, 62, of St. Cloud died Thursday, November 20, 1997 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 22 at 3 p.m. at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center Chapel in St. Cloud with the Reverend Peter Lundholm officiating. Casketbeareres were Earl Tripp, Gregory Nolte, Gerald Nolte, Ruth Erie, Jeffrey Anderson, Dawn Bell and Darryl Cameron.

A graveside service was held Sunday, November 23 at 3 p.m. at the St. Vincent Cemetery in St. Vincent with the Reverend Linda Baldock officiating. Casketbearers were Greg Nolte, Alan Nolte, John Nolte, Jeffrey Anderson, Robert Cameron and Raymond Clinton.

Harold Nolte was born December 18, 1934 at Hallock, the son of Victor and Myrtle (Johnston) Nolte. He grew up and attended school in St. Vincent and Pembina and graduated from Pembina High School. He served in the US Army. Harold worked for the Soo Line Railroad as a brakeman in Thief River Falls and moved to St. Cloud in 1987 where he worked for Amtrak as a conductor.

He was a volunteer at the Veteran's Administration Center in St. Cloud for the past eight years and AM Vets. He was a member of American Legion Post 77 in Pembina and a Life member of VFW Post 428 in St. Cloud.

Harold is survived by his mother, Myrtle Nolte of Pensacola, FL; two brothers, John (Pat) Nolte of Pembina, ND and Francis (Shirley) Nolte of Las Vegas, NV; one sister Charlotte (Dean) Anderson of Pensacola, FL; and seven nieces and seven nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Nolte.
