Burnsville - Marvin R. Nelson, 59, Burnsville, formerly of the Thief River Falls area, died April 9, 1997.
Nelson was a machinist at Dayton Rogers and a former farmer. He married Karolyn K. Olson on June 3, 1961, in Viking.
He is survived by his wife Karolyn, daughter Theresa (Ken) Kemnitz, sisters, Dolores (Harlan) Knauf, Joanne (Glenn) Grindeland, brothers, Dennis (Barbara), Roger (Dolores), Raymond (Jean), and Gordon (Lou) Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Ella Nelson and one sister Violet Jenkins.
Services were held on Monday, April 14, at 11 a.m. at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 9600 163rd Street West, Lakeville. Visitation will be at the Burnsville Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Avenue South, on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
Interment will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, New Sollem township, near Thief River Falls, on Tuesday, April 15, at 10 a.m.
