
Oklee - Robert Myrum, 69, died Tuesday, September 8, 1998 at the McIntosh Manor in McIntosh.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 12 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, rural Oklee with Reverend Clarence Johnson officiating. Jodi Peters was the organist, and vocal music was provided by Gelene Lundeen. Casketbearers were Dale Myrum, Dennis Myrum, Dave Myrum, Mark Myrum, Greg Myrum, Russell Austad, Lyle Austad and Gary Austad. Honorary casketbearers were all those who considered Robert a friend. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery in Mayfield township of Pennington county. The Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls was in charge of the arrangements.
Robert Gene Myrum was born on January 14, 1929 in Mayfield township of Pennington county, the son of Ole and Sarah (Austad) Myrum. He was baptized and confirmed at Ebenezer Lutheran Church. He attended school and grew up in Mayfield township.
Robert entered the United States Army on December 16, 1953 and was honorably discharged on December 15, 1955. He returned to the family farm. Robert moved to McIntosh Manor in McIntosh on September 23, 1997.
He enjoyed auction sales and spending time with family and friends.
Robert is survived by one sister, Joyce (Don) Caveny of Stockton, CA; two brothers, Chester (Margie) Myrum of Hibbing and Harold Myrum of Oklee; and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Alvin, Andor, Theodore, Gilmore and Donald; and two sisters, Lorraine Hanson and Margaret Myrum.
