
Detroit Lakes -Agnes Myrom, 83, died Monday, February 21, 2000 at St. Mary's Regional Health Center in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 27 at West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes with Rev. Tim Cook officiating. Karen Bimberg was the organist, and the soloist was Kathy Larson.
Honorary casketbearers were Lloyd Halverson, Curtis Myrom, Lonnie Myrom, Lynn Egenes, Arden Myrom, Glenn Myrom, Bob Christianson, Russell McGill, Rick Gilbertson, Tim McAnnany, Wayne Myrom, Keith Myrom, Tom Beadle, Jon McGill, Dan Beadle, Rick Steenerson and Jeff Gilbertson. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
Agnes M. Myrom was born on August 24, 1916 in Highlanding township of Pennington county, the daughter of Anton and Annie Myrom. She grew up in the Thief River Falls area. During World War II she worked at a defense plant on the West Coast. Agnes then moved back to Thief River Falls where she cared for her mother for many years. In 1998, she moved to Detroit Lakes. For the past year, she had been a resident at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes.
She enjoyed playing cards and John Wayne movies.
Agnes is survived by one brother, Ernest (Vera) Myrom of Detroit Lakes; six sisters, Thelma (Lester) Halverson of Ham Lake, Caroline (Stanley) Egenes of Detroit Lakes, Harriet Christianson of White Bear Lake, Evelyn Thaxton of Detroit Lakes, Leona McGill of Minneapolis and Vivian Gilbertson of Moorhead; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clarence and Clifford Myrom; and two sisters, Marion McAnnany and Irene Steenerson. A00003B2000MR01
