Yakima, WA - Gladys Myers, 94, of Yakima, Washington died April 25, 1997 at the Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Yakima.
A private service was held in San Mateo, CA with interment in the Sky Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in San Mateo.
Gladys was born on December 13, l902 to Polk Rickard and Lillian (Morrier) Sampson. Her grandparents, Bernhard and Petra Sampson were prominent pioneers in the Crookston area. In l937, Gladys was united in marriage to Leslie Myers who practiced dentistry in San Fransisco, CA for many years. Gladys worked as a secretary for the Association of Small Businesses. The couple made their home in San Mateo. In recent years, Gladys had been living with cousins, Fran and Richard Baldwin in Yakima, WA.
She is survived by several cousins, John Sampson of Thief River Falls, Lola Sampson and Phyllis Ness of Crookston, Pat Skognes and June Chinquist of Fargo, ND, Dr. Virgil, Curtis, and Lowell Erickson of the San Jose, CA area, Fran Baldwin of Yakima, WA, and Joan O'Brien of St. Paul, MN.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and a brother, LeRoy Sampson.
