Red Lake Falls - Veo M. Musil, 74, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, June 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls with Father Dave Super officiating. Marjorie Schafer was the organist, and the soloist was Sarah Brevik. Burial was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Veo Modesta Paul was born November 15, 1925 in Red Lake Falls, the daughter of Clayte and Mildred (Helm) Paul. She grew up in Red Lake Falls and graduated from Lafayette High School.
She worked for the telephone company as an operator for a time and on January 14, 1948 was united in marriage to Leo Musil in Red Lake Falls. The couple spent there entire lives in Red Lake Falls.
Veo was a volunteer at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls for over 30 years. She was also an avid sports fan and active member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Hillcrest Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Leo Musil of Red Lake Falls; two daughters, Mary (Louie) Toulouse of Emmons and Pam (Al) Walker of Red Lake Falls; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mavis (William) Veano of Newport Beach, Calif. and Lorna Quiggle of Bakersfield, Calif; one sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law. A00003B2000JN14
