Willmar - Nora A. Movick, 97, formerly of Holt, died Monday, August 16, 1999 at the Pleasantview Nursing Home in Willmar.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 20 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Holt with Reverend Robert Dahlen officiating. Interment was in the Holt Cemetery. Arrangements were with the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home of Willmar.
Nora A. Dovre was born on October 1, 1901 at Holt, the daughter of Thore O. and Olette (Wigness) Dovre. She grew up in the Holt community and was baptized and confirmed at Nazareth Lutheran Church. She attended Sunnyside country school.
On June 6, 1925 she was married to Alf J. Movick at Warren. The couple lived and farmed near Holt for many years until 1982 when they retired and moved to Thief River Falls. In 1994 they moved to Willmar.
Nora was active in various church women's activities, especially the singing groups.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne (Sandra) of Jupiter, FL and Alf Jr. (Mary) of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Joyce (Dennis) Mickelson of Rochester and Wilma (James) Buisman of Willmar; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Nora was preceded in death by her husband, Alf in 1996, one daughter, one grandson, five brothers and four sisters. A00003B1999AG25
