
Iva Moser, 84
Red Lake Falls - Iva "Connie" Moser, 84, died Sunday, March 26, 2000 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, March 30, at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy officiating. Kathie Knott will be the organist, and special music will be provided by St. Joseph's Church Choir. Casketbearers will will be her grandchildren, Scott Moser, Terry Moser, Randy Derosier, Corey Budahl, Stacey Budahl and Chris Hanson. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Church Cemetery in Brooks.
Visitation will be held today (Wednesday, March 29) from 5 to 8 p.m. with an 8 p.m. prayer service at Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to services at the church.
Iva Christine Royer was born on September 2, 1915 at Finlayson, the daughter of George and Mabel (Beck) Royer. She grew up on a farm near Pine Lake. After her father died in 1929, the family moved to Minneapolis. She attended a vocational high school in Minneapolis, specializing in culinary arts. She then went to work as a cook at Dayton's restaurant in Minneapolis for several years.
On May 23, 1934, Connie was united in marriage to Fred W. Moser. The couple lived in Minneapolis until 1955 when they moved to a farm near Brooks. Fred died on December 6, 1988. Connie moved to Red Lake Falls in April of 1990 and to Hillcrest Nursing Home, where she had since resided, in January of 1992.
She enjoyed gardening and baking.
Connie is survived by two sons, Fred T. Moser in California and Eugene (Shirley) Moser of Red Lake Falls; two daughters, Roseanne Budahl of Minnetonka and Marilyn Moser of Pewaukee, WI; one brother, George (Eleanor) Royer of Markville; one sister, Florence Johnson of Rogers; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter; one grandson, Larry Moser; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Moser; and her parents. A00003B2000MR29
