
Harlingen, TX - Merry Moncus, 33, died Monday, December 8, 1997 as the result of a car accident in Brownsville, TX.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 20 at 11 a.m. at Lakeview Community Church in Hillman, MN with Reverend David Golden officiating. Janel Holmquist will be the pianist. Casketbearers will be Mark Byer, Terry Christianson, Gary Vennes, Michael Christianson, Mark Mathison and Russell Vennes. Interment will be in Lakeview Community Cemetery in Hillman. The Williams-Hanson-Kaun Funeral Home of Princeton is in charge of the arrangements.
Merry Margaret Vennes was born October 10, 1964 in Perham, the daughter of Gordon and Peggy (Christianson) Vennes. As a child she lived in Frazee and Thief River Falls prior to moving to Harlingen, TX in 1980. She graduated from Harlingen High School and married Mark Moncus. She was employed by Safeguard Pest Control.
She is survived by her children, Matthew and Jessica Moncus, and Abel Jon "A. J." Davila, all of Harlingen; her mother and step-father, Peggy and DeWayne Huntington of Hinkley; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary (Cynthia) Vennes of North Branch, Russell Jon Vennes of McGregor and Cindy Vennes of Thief River Falls; her sister and brother-in-law, Deborah (Mark) Byer of Albertsville; her step-father, Otis Miller of Harlingen; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Merry was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Vennes; one brother, Ronald Vennes; and her grandparents.
