Thief River Falls - Evelyn Helen Mittelstadt, 85, died Friday, April 11, 1997, at Northwest Medical Center, CNC Unit, Thief River Falls.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 14, 1997, in the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, with Rev. Marcia Sylvester officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Willmar.
Evelyn Helen Linderman was born on September 23, 1911, to the late Henry and Sarah Hetager Linrman in Willmar. She attended school in Willmar, and graduated from Willmar High School in 1931. Evelyn also went to beauty school in Minneapolis and worked in hairdressing in Willmar. On November 7, 1938, she was united in marriage to Fred Mittelstadt at Milbank, SD. The couple lived in Litchfield for 10 years where her husband worked. In 1948 the couple moved to Thief River Falls, and operated a Mobil Oil Station. Evelyn also worked from 1963 to 1973 at the Sears Store. Mr. Mittelstadt died on October 16, 1984.
Evelyn was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and Northwestern Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by her two children, Karon Bakke of Thief River Falls, and Steven Mittelstadt and wife Linda of Wausaw, WI; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
