
Fosston - Mose Mireault, 92, formerly of Dorothy, died Wednesday, November 12, 1997 at Fosston First Care Nursing Home in Fosston.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, November 15 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Dorothy Catholic Church in Dorothy with Father Gary LaMoine officiating. Polly Beyer was the organist, and special music was provided by the St. Dorothy Choir. Casketbearers were Steven, Gregory, Allan, Timothy, Keith and Michael Mireault and Daniel Roi. Burial was held in the church cemetery. The Petterson Funeral Home of Red Lake Falls handled the arrangements.
Mose Mireault was born on July 4, 1905 near Red Lake Falls, the son of Sirel and Diana (Gayette) Mireault. On February 21, 1927 he was united in marriage to Lily Cassavant at St. Dorothy Catholic Church in Dorothy. The couple farmed near Dorothy, and Mose also worked at American Crystal in East Grand Forks. Before retiring he did carpentry work.
Mose is survived by one daughter, Dorothy (Wilfred) Roi of Granite Falls; four sons, Francis (Donna) Mireault of East Grand Forks, James (Rose) Mireault of Fosston, Jerry (Joan) Mireault of Crookston and Dick (Donna) Mireault of Hugo; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Violet Lacroise of Washington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lily; infant son Gerard; two brothers; and five sisters.
