Services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 29 at Brown & Sons Funeral Home in Bradenton, FL with Reverend Daniel Hagmaier officiating. Burial was in Ellenton, FL.
Reynold Arthur Mattson was born in Greenbush. During World War II, he served as a sergeant with the U.S. Army Corps. From 1946 until 1955 he worked at Ace Hardware in Greenbush, and from 1955 until 1960 he was employed by Ace Hardware in Thief River Falls. He moved to Manatee county in Florida in 1960. After owning, operating and managing the Ace Hardware Store in Cortez Plaza in Bradenton, FL, he retired after 24 years.
He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Manatee Exchange Club, Manatee County Golf Association and the American Legion of Greenbush.
Reynold is survived by his wife, Charlotte; one daughter, Cindy A. of Miami Beach, FL; one son Scott H. of Bradenton, FL; two grandchildren; three sisters, Marjorie Cowie of Culver City, CA, Ruth Bonn of Torrance, CA and June Holter of Casper, WY; and one brother, Robert M. of Gardnerville, NV.
