Jeanette Magner, 80

Thief River Falls - Junette "Jeanette" Magner, 80, died Thursday, July 27, 2000 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 30 at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with Rev. John Jorgensen officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Opdahl Cemetery in New Maine township of Marshall county.

Jeanette Sylvia Blinsmon was born on August 21, 1919 in Newfolden, the daughter of Oscar and Julie (Lee) Blinsmon. She was baptized and confirmed in Newfolden where she grew up and attended school.

On July 3, 1938, she was united in marriage to Dale Magner at Newfolden. The couple lived in many towns, including Garden City, Kan., Highlanding and Fort Hood, Texas before moving to Thief River Falls in 1948.

Jeanette enjoyed dancing, going to rummage sales, playing nickel slot machines and especially playing bingo and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Dale of Thief River Falls; two sons, Robert (Lois) of Thief River Falls and Darrell (Kathy) of Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter, Julie of Grand Forks, N.D.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Evelyn Edlund of Puyallup, Wash.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Alice; and two brothers, Orville and Clayton. A00003B2000AG02
