
New Ulm - Dolores Lundgren, 69, died Thursday, December 9, 1999 at her home in New Ulm.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 13 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Burial was in the soldier's rest section of the New Ulm City Cemetery. The Firle Funeral Home of New Ulm was in charge of the arrangements.
Dolores Snell was born on August 23, 1930 in Trommald, the daughter of Arthur and Mable (Bloom) Snell. She attended school in Brainerd, graduating from Brainerd High School.
On February 5, 1951 she was united in marriage to Dale Lundgren in Brainerd. The couple made their home in Los Angeles, CA. They later returned to the Brainerd area before moving to West Chicago, IL in 1971. In Chicago, Dolores worked as an inventory control supervisor for Pan American Plant Company. The family moved to New Ulm in 1979 where she was employed by Union and Sioux Valley Hospitals for 17 years, retiring in July of 1998.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church in New Ulm.
Dolores was an avid sports fan, particularly football and hockey, especially when her children and grandchildren were involved.
Survivors include her husband, Dale of New Ulm; three sons, Michael (Shirley) Lundgren of Thief River Falls, Brian (Jennie) Lundgren of Norwood and Colin (Wendy) Lundgren of Shorewood; two daughters, Patrice (Joe) Gonzales and Tamara (David) Neidecker, both of New Ulm; ten grandchildren; four brothers, Kenneth (Reva) Snell of Brainerd, Arthur (Joyce) Snell Jr. of Appleton, WI, Errol (Inge) Snell of Olympia, WA and Gerald (Kathy) Snell of Gevda Springs, KS; four sisters, Ruby (Francis) Koering and June (John) Erickson, both of Brainerd, Sharon (Ernie) Kitsmiller of Fargo, ND and Darlene (Tom) Towle of Owatonna; and many nieces and nephews.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents. A00003B1999DC15
