
Thief River Falls - Ciserine Lund, 92, died Saturday, March 14, 1998 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls with Father Dennis Wieland officiating. Special music was provided by St. Bernard's Choir. Casketbearers were Steve Lund, Leroy Lund, Allan Lund, Jerome Kraemer, Wallace Tunberg and Bob Kraemer. Burial will be at St. Bernard's Cemetery. The Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls was in charge of the arrangements.
Ciserine Lund was born on August 22, 1905 in rural Oklee, the daughter of Alphonse and Edwardina (Plante) Lund. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and attended rural school near Oklee.
On May 23, 1927 she was united in marriage to Arthur I. Lund at Oklee. The following year the couple moved to Thief River Falls where Art was a mechanic. Following Art's death in 1971, Ciserine continued to make her home in Thief River Falls.
She was an active member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and spending time with family and friends.
Ciserine is survived by one son, Ronald (Lorraine) Lund of Apache Junction, AZ; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Art; parents; one son, Darrel; two brothers, Joe and Ed Paquin; and three sisters, Agnes Lynch, Luweena Lynch and Jean Travis.
