Agnes Loween, 92
Hibbing - Agnes Loween, 92, died Friday, November 12, 1999 at her home in Hibbing.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Hibbing with Rev. Brian Black officiating. Interment was in the Hibbing Park (Maple Hill) Cemetery. The Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Agnes Kvall was born August 16, 1907 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of John and Gjertina Kvall.
On December 31, 1927, she was married to Edward C. Loween. Agnes worked for U.S. Steel, Northern Mining and, together with her husband, owned and operated the Dine-A-Mite drive-in and Eddie's Night Club in Hibbing.
Survivors include one son, Edward C. (Lorraine) Loween Jr. of Chicago, IL; one son-in-law, Bill Mannila of Hibbing; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Sr. in 1988; daughter, Lorraine Mannila in 1992; and three sisters, Louise Steenerson Froiland, Gertrude Thune and Gina Lian.
