
New Hope - Ella S. Loven, 93, died Thursday, April 8, 1999 at Northridge Care Center in New Hope.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13 at the Mark Rausch Funeral Home in Dallas, WI with Reverend Marshall Hall officiating. Interment was in Our Savior's Cemetery in Sand Creek.
Ella S. Peterson was born on April 5, 1906 in Hallock, the daughter of August and Mathilda (Lofguist) Peterson. She was raised in the Hallock and Middle River areas and graduated from Middle River High School.
In 1928 she married Einar Loven in Middle River. The couple lived in Holt and Thief River Falls for several years. They retired in 1968 and moved to Sand Creek, WI where they were members of New Hope Lutheran Church of Sand Creek and the first custodians of the new church. In 1980 Ella moved to Minneapolis and had been a resident of Northridge Care Center since 1990. She was a talented organist and pianist.
Ella is survived by one son, William (Jackie) Loven of Minnetrista; seven grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Einar on June 14, 1974; and one son, Del Rey on November 1, 1952. A00003B1999AR14
