
East Grand Forks - Bette Lord, 57, died Friday, March 28, 1997 at Dakota Heartland Hospital in Fargo, ND. Arrangements were with Stennes Funeral Home of East Grand Forks.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 1 at Family of God Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks. Burial was in Bellevue Cemetery at Larimore, ND.
Bette was born on December 8, 1939 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Elmer and Gina (Arnevick) Rux. She graduated from Lincoln High school in Thief River Falls. She married Loring Lord on May 21, 1960 in Thief River Ralls. They moved to Grand Forks, ND. She was an Avon Lady and they lived in Crookston, Thief River Falls and settling in East Grand Forks in 1983. Loring died on July 5, 1984. She worked for the East Grand Forks School District #595 and moved to Grand Forks in 1995. She was a member of the East Grand Forks American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by mother Gina of Thief River Falls; daughter Tammy (Alan) Iverson of Grand Forks, ND, Terry (Scott) Radi of Moorhead, Tracy (Steve) Mosloff of Thief River Falls, and Michelle (Dean) McEnaney of Everett, Wa; seven grandchildren; brother Durlyn Rux of Thief River Falls; half sister Marian Myhrum of Fosston; and half brother Clifford Larson of Thief River Falls.
She was preceded in death by her father Elmer and husband Loring.
