East Grand Forks - Leighton "Butch" Lindwick, 54, died Wednesday, January 17, 2001 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 22, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East Grand Forks. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery in East Grand Forks with Stennes Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Leighton Lindwick was born on February 27, 1946 at Bagley, the son of Lars and Elva (Thayer) Lindwick. He grew up in Goodridge where he graduated from Goodridge High School in 1964.
On August 11, 1968, Butch married Donna LaChance at Red Lake Falls. The couple moved to East Grand Forks in 1969 where he attended Aaker's Business College, graduating in May of 1971. Butch was employed by St. Michael's Hospital and Altru Hospital, both in Grand Forks, for more than 32 years.
Survivors include his wife, Donna of East Grand Forks; two sons, Shawn and Shane, both at home in East Grand Forks; two sisters, Carol (John) Fila of Santa Monica, Calif. and Sharon (Galen) Englund of Grygla; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents. A00003B2000JA24
