Dean Lindholm, 70

Thief River Falls - Dean Lindholm, 70, died Friday, April 17, 1998 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, April 22) at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with Pastor Bob Dahlen officiating. Special music will be provided by Grace Hammer. Casketbearers will be Rich Sunsdahl, Harvey Asp, Nick Danculovich, John Hanson, David Lind and Kevin Olson. Burial will be in Satesdal Cemetery in Excel township of Marshall county.

Visitation was held from noon until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21 with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

Dean Lindholm was born on April 25, 1927 in Orr, ND, the son of Einerd and Bessie (Johnson) Lindholm. He attended school and grew to adulthood in Gilby, ND. Following his discharge from the military, Dean married Donlley Johnson. He then went to work for the Great Northern Railroad and later bought McGuires Bar in Grand Forks, ND.

Dean was united in marriage to Lucille Koukol in 1964. In 1969 he purchased a farm in Excel township of Marshall county which he operated until moving to Thief River Falls in 1994 where he has since resided.

He was a member of the VFW and the Eagles. He enjoyed driving in the country and working on machinery.

Dean is survived by five sons, Mark Lindholm of Thief River Falls, Mike (Karen) Lindholm of Thief River Falls, Allan (Kathy) Lindholm of St. Croix Falls, WI, David (Peggy) Lindholm of Denver, CO and John Lindholm of Pinole, CA; two stepdaughters, Kim (John) Hanson of Hibbing and Cheryl (Nick) Danculovich of Hibbing; nine grandchildren; three stepgrand children; and one brother, Roy Lindholm of Gilby.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Allan and Donald Lindholm.
