John Lindblom, 77

Russell, KS - John Lindblom, 77, formerly of Thief River Falls, died Thursday, December 16, 1999 at his home in Russell, KS.

Graveside services and burial will be in Black River Lutheran Cemetery in Polk Center township of Pennington county in the spring.

John Henry Lindblom was born on May 27, 1922 at home in Bray township of Pennington county, the son of John Henry and Agnes Leni Swapp Lindblom. He was baptized and confirmed at Black River Lutheran Church, St. Hilaire, and attended rural District 180 school in Bray township. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.

In 1952 John married Margie Cowlier in Gulfport, MS. He was employed as a body and fender repairman in New Orleans, LA and Russell, KS.

He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with relatives and friends and was known for his sense of humor.

John is survived by one son, John Jr. of New Orleans, LA; three sisters, Mable Mosbeck of Thief River Falls, Ellen (Stan) Read of Puyallup, WA and Janeth (Arthur) Armstrong of Lander, WY; one brother, Harold (Elna) Lindblom of Clearwater, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, George Lindblom, Russel Rux and Ralph Rux; and one brother-in-law, Richard Mosbeck. A00003B1999DC22
