East Grand Forks - Elmer D. Lind, 98, died Monday, February 24, 1997 at United Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Arrangements were with Stennes Funeral Home of East Grand Forks.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1 at Sacred Heart Catholic church of East Grand Forks.
Elmer Lind was born on November 20, 1898 in Thief River Falls, the son of Mathilda Lind. He grew up and attended school in Thief River Falls. He worked for area farmers in the Thief River Falls area. He then moved to Northern Minnesota where he worked in the iron mines. He was united in marriage to Mollie Ann Usselman in Minneapolis. He worked as a small engine mechanic in Minneapolis until moving to East Grand Forks in 1978.
He is survived by wife Mollie of East Grand Forks.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and three brothers.
