Myrtle Beach, SC - Wanda Leskinen, 78, formerly of Thief River Falls, died Sunday, October 24, 1999 at her home in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls with Rev. Dennis Raymond officiating. Sally Erickson will be the vocalist. Casketbearers will be Kevin Johnson, Craig Lindahl, Craig Allen Lindahl, Gregory Lindahl and John Lindahl. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 29, at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls and at the church for one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Wanda Irene Lindahl was born on November 9, 1920 in Roseau, the daughter of William August and Emma (Braaten) Lindahl. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended schools in Roseau and graduated from high school at Newfolden in 1938.

She worked in Thief River Falls and Lancaster and married Harold Graham on November 28, 1940. In 1941, the couple moved to Waukegan, IL where Wanda worked for Abbot Laboratories for 26 years. Harold died on November 10, 1968.

On July 30, 1971, she married Edwin Ilmari Leskinen in Waukegan, IL. They retired and moved to Thief River Falls in 1983. Edwin died on May 30, 1992, and Wanda made her home in Thief River Falls until recently moving to her daughter's home in Myrtle Beach, SC.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.

Wanda is survived by one daughter, Roberta Glogovsky of Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; two brothers, Glen (Ruby) Lindahl of Dubuque, IA and Luverne (Iva Jean) Lindahl of Thief River Falls; one sister, Aldyne (Richard) Salmi of Daphne, AL; one sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; an infant sister, Vivian; one brother, Earl; and two nephews, Mark and Greg Lindahl.
