Fridley - Donald Lerum, 71, died Wednesday, December 17, 1997 at Unity Hospital in Fridley.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9 at Bethel Lutheran Cemetery in Greenbush with Pastor Ernie Christensen officiating. The Gieseke Funeral Home in Greenbush was in charge of the arrangements.
Donald Owen Lerum was born on January 1, 1926 at Strathcona, the son of Harold and Edna (Anderson) Lerum. He grew up on a farm in Greenbush. He spent most of his adult life in the Minneapolis area where he worked as a building contractor.
Donald is survived by one sister, Edna Mae (Kendall) Peterson of El Grenada, CA; one sister-in-law, Mayvis Lerum of Greenbush; ten nieces and nephews; and nine grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He is also survived by several close friends in the Twin Cities and many cousins in the Greenbush and Ellendale areas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Herdis Lerum; one brother, James Lerum; and two nephews.
