David J. Lee, 62

Glendale, CA - David J. Lee, 62, formerly of Thief River Falls, died Wednesday, December 23, 1998 at Ember Health Care Center in Glendale, CA.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 9 at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with Reverend Robert Dahlen officiating. Al Gjerde will deliver the eulogy. Grace Hammer will be the organist and soloist. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion and VFW Posts of Thief River Falls. Burial will be held in the spring in Nesbit Cemetery in Mallory township of Polk county. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Saturday.

David Junior Lee was born on January 30, 1936 in East Grand Forks, the son of David Robert and Mary Louise MaDonna (Terrian) Lee. He lived in East Grand Forks, Euclid and the Key West area before moving to a farm in Rocksbury township of Pennington county in 1947. David attended school in Thief River Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1955.

After high school he served four years in the Navy. Following his honorable discharge he worked in the Minneapolis area for a number of years. In 1978 David moved to California where he was employed by Lockheed Aircraft. He also worked for a time as transportation supervisor for the Salvation Army.

David is survived by two brothers, Roy Lee of San Bernardino, CA and Emery (Francisca) Lee of Thief River Falls; five sisters, Donna Horachek of Goodridge, Jeanette (Ron) Varney of St. Paul, Darlene San of Minneapolis, Sharon Panek of Goodridge, and Beatrice (Dick) Smith of Thief River Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Carol Killcrease.
