
Red Lake Falls - Margaret LeDoux, 72, died Saturday, October 31, 1998 at her home in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian burial will be held today (Wednesday, November 4) at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery near Red Lake Falls.
Visitation was held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls and for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Margaret Gertrude Josephine DeHaan was born on October 30, 1926, the daughter of John and Gertrude (Perrin) DeHaan at Wilhelmina, Missouri. As a young girl she moved with her family to Montana where she started school. In 1934 she moved to Red Lake Falls where she attended school, graduating from high school in 1946 and receiving teacher's training in 1947. She taught in country schools for several years.
On February 3, 1948 she was united in marriage to Luverne LeDoux in Red Lake Falls. The couple moved to California and then to various places around the United States. They returned to Red Lake Falls in 1991 where they have since resided. Margaret worked at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls for several years.
She enjoyed quilting, flowers and gardening, fishing, crossword puzzles, country western music and spending time with her grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Laverne LeDoux of Red Lake Falls; one son, John (Ginger) LeDoux of Lancaster; three daughters, Linda LeDoux of Aurora, CO, Sue (Kim) Domier of Sioux Falls, SD and Joanne (fiance Charlie Hernandez) LeDoux of Houston, TX; six grandchildren; four brothers, Martin (Bernadette) DeHaan of Red Lake Falls, Gerard (Betty) DeHaan of Thief River Falls, Jacob Henry (Barbara) DeHaan and Anthony DeHaan, both of Red Lake Falls; one sister, Elaine "Sis" (Deane) Boucher of Crookston; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Catherine Roberts; and three brothers, John DeHaan, Joseph DeHaan and Robert DeHaan.
