Harry Lattman, 87

Fergus Falls - Harry C. Lattman, 87, died Sunday, July 9, 2000 at Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, July 12) at the Light and Life Auditorium at Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls with Rev. Brent Murphy and Rev. Harland Helland officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston. The Olson Funeral Home of Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.

Harry C. Lattman was born on May 9, 1913 in Fergus Falls, the son of Charles and May (Honeycutt) Lattman. He grew up in the Deer Creek area.

Harry worked in road construction, at the meat packing plant in Fergus Falls and as an engineer at the Union Depot in St. Paul until his retirement in 1973.

On August 7, 1956, he married Alice (Knutson) Lindholm of Crookston. The couple lived in Fergus Falls, and then in Crookston, Thief River Falls and the St. Paul area before returning to Fergus Falls. After Harry's retirement, he and Alice enjoyed traveling from coast to coast, often wintering in Texas and Arizona. Harry also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. In December of 1996, he became a resident of Broen Memorial Home.

Survivors include his wife, Alice of Fergus Falls; two sons, Dean (Joyce) and Jerry (Dee), both of San Jose, Calif; one daughter, Lorrayne (Herbert) McNeilly of Morganton, N.C.; two stepchildren, Morris (Deloris) Lindholm of Fergus Falls and Sandra (Dennis) Falenschek of Anoka; one brother, Kenneth (Irene) Lattman of Fergus Falls; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Harry Charles "Sonny" and Donald Wayne; one sister, Louise Helander; and one granddaughter, Carla. A00003B2000JL12
