Greenbush - Jennie A. Larson, 92, died Sunday, May 4 at the Greenbush Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 7, 1997 at 10:30 a.m. at United Free Lutheran Church in Greenbush with Rev. Dennis Gray officiating. Arrangements were with the Collins Funeral Home.
Jennie was born October 9, l904, in Huntley Township, Marshall County near Strathcona the daughter of Christ and Janna Rud. She was baptized and confirmed at the Poplar Grove Lutheran Church where she was a life-long member, active in the Ladies Aid and other church activities. On November 8, 1922 she was united in marriage to Ludwig Larson.The couple farmed near Strathcona for many years, and Jennie contiued to make her home on the farm for a number of years after Ludwig died in l968 before moving to the Elderbush Manor in Greenbush.
She is survived by one daughter, Laura (Delbert) Erickson of Thief River Falls; one foster daughter, Lillian (Emmett) Wagner of Middle River; daughter-in-law Helen Larson of Fargo, ND; one granddaughter; four step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Alma Wicklund of Greenbush; three brothers, Engvold of Greenbush, Calmer of Strandquist and Johnny of Fargo; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son, Lawrence in l992, two brothers, Carl and Andrew, and one sister, Inga Roppe.
