Blanche Laliberte, 93

Crookston - Blanche M. Laliberte, 93, died Sunday, December 19, 1999 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 23, 1999 at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Crookston. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Crookston with the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Blanche M. Trudeau was born on December 31, 1905 at Gentilly, the daughter of Raphael and Louis (Page) Trudeau. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and attended country school.

On June 1, 1926 Blanche was united in marriage to Theodore "Chick" Laliberte at Crookston. The couple lived in Warren and Brooks for a short while before moving back to Crookston where they spent most of their lives. Blanche worked at home and raised their family. Chick died on November 20, 1979.

Blanche is survived by two sons, Ronald (Dorothy) Laliberte of Coon Rapids and Mark (Lorraine) Laliberte of Grand Forks, ND; one daughter, Sister Claudia Laliberte of Rochester; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, Warren LaPlante of Weslaco, TX; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one daughter, Bona LaPlante; five brothers, Pete, Harvey, Antime, Edgar and Albert Trudeau; and two sisters, Cora and Cerissa. A00003B1999DC29
